MP Hassan calls for a clearly worded ministerial statement

MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said that the opposition is the main pillar of the country's defense strategy.
"We will not leave Lebanon with options that have failed in the past. Only the Lebanese can protect Lebanon with the weapons they have," Hassan said during an unarmed military parade organized by the group Lebanese Armed Wings against the Occupation.
"The majority is saying a lot about the ministerial statement, and we will not use the media to start a verbal fight," Hassan said.
"If you want the Taif Agreement, read it well," he added in reply to statements by majority figures calling for the ministerial statement to be based on the Taif and other agreements.
Hassan noted that much time has been wasted over the ministerial statement. "Let us draft a clearly-worded ministerial statement that deals with the Resistance as well as social issues and living conditions."
