While loyalty bloc MPs were "making use" of the parliamentary sessions devoted to discuss the government's policy statement to express "reservations" over the Resistance-related clause for electoral motives, Hizbullah renewed on Sunday its commitment to the Resistance choice, calling on all factions to preserve it as a source of strength for Lebanon.
The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said there were two choices in Lebanon; one of them is dependent on the Resistance principle. According to Raad, the followers of this choice want a free and sovereign country while the others seek to transform the state into a joint-stock company that withstands thanks to the loans and international donations.
Speaking during a ceremony in Kfarssir village, Southern Lebanon, Raad stressed that the Resistance choice proved practically its usefulness while the second "troubled" one has lost the rights and hasn't recover any detainee or part of the land. "The Resistance is the one preventing the transfer of the state into a farm," Raad stressed, adding that "they haven't the right to obstruct the Resistance and prevent it from performing its right even if they are not convinced with this choice."
