MP Raad: Resistance Does not Declare War, Only Defends

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary Bloc MP Mohammad Raad said that the prospective defensive strategy will take into consideration cooperation between the Lebanese army and the resistance in confronting "Israeli" aggressions against Lebanon.
Speaking to the Kuwaiti daily Al-Anba' Raad said that dialogue is not limited to discussing the defensive strategy but the economic and social strategies as well.
The Hizbullah MP stressed the round table of dialogue should be expanded to include all Lebanese groups based on the criteria set by the sponsor of the dialogue.
On the war and peace issue after the defensive strategy, MP Raad refused to mix the meanings of "the right to defend against "Israeli" aggressions" adding that the resistance is not the side that "declares war" since it is only concerned in the defending Lebanon."
"Lebanon does not declare war but only declares self defense," Raad said.
The MP told the Kuwaiti daily that the ‘opposition' insists on adhering to the guaranteeing one third of ministers in accordance with the National Covenant and the constitution. He concluded stressing no peace will be established between "Israel" and Syria or between "Israel" and regional states in the foreseeable future.
