Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, a Hizbullah official of South Lebanon, stressed on Monday that approving the electoral law was a national priority so that the Doha Agreement will have been implemented in its fullest.
He added that some parties still did not get used to the concept of national partnership after the Doha Agreement was signed and the national unity government formed.
During a Hizbullah ceremony in the South, he said that Lebanon has interests in a powerful Resistance because of its ability to defend the state's sovereignty and liberate the occupied territories.
He added that the United States wanted the Lebanese Resistance and army to be weak because of its favoritism for "Israel".
Sheikh Qaouk said he regretted that some Lebanese politicians used provocative language in their speeches for electoral interests, even though threats from "Israel" remain a real danger.
He said that the Resistance was confident about the political situation and did not have to respond to any tension or provocations.
He concluded that it was not acceptable to delay the approval of the electoral law.
