GAZA- Four Palestinians were killed early Monday and late Sunday in confrontations that broke out with "Israeli" forces in two separate locations in Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said Monday.
The sources said "Three Palestinians died this morning by "Israeli" gunfire in an area west of Beit Lahya, north Gaza Strip." Witnesses said "'Israeli' Special Forces and helicopters attacked 'Rabat' area where the Ezziddine Al-Qassam Brigades of Fatah are stationed." They said "helicopters opened heavy fire on the location and the shooting impeded evacuation of the wounded by Palestinian ambulances." Palestinian resistance groups routinely deploy fighters to hot spots along the Gaza-"Israeli" borders in late night hours, and "Israel" seems to have decided to engage the Palestinians in the said post last night.
A fourth Palestinian, also a brigades member, was killed last night when "Israeli" forces fired on a group of Palestinian fighters on the eastern outskirts of Al-Shujaeiya neighborhood. Five others were injured in the same incident east of Gaza City.
The brigades meanwhile issued a statement identifying the said Palestinian as member Bassam Al-Hilu, 29.
The statement also said the brigades attacked an "Israeli" war boat along the coast of Beit Lahya and the vessel burst into flames.
On the "Israeli" side, four soldiers were injured last night when several Palestinian resistance groups attacked Nahal Ouz, east of Gaza City.
Palestinian groups including Fatah's Al-Aqsa Brigades, Hamas' Qassam Brigades, and Islamic Jihad's Quds Battalions claimed firing some 36 projectiles on the military post, and the "Israeli" Army admitted to such an attack.
