A Hizbullah official in southern Lebanon, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, said that cooperation between Hizbullah and the army was the basis for any national defense strategy and had to be maintained.
In a ceremony in the southern village of Aitaroun on Friday, Qaouk described relations between his party and the army as "good...especially because it infuriates our enemies."
He also said that there was no difference between "Israeli" military and intelligence operations, and said the United States was a partner in both.
