The reconciliation between Hizbullah and Future movement seems to be very imminent, as press reports revealed on Tuesday that a meeting between a Hizbullah delegation and Future movement chief MP Saad Hariri would take place at the latter's headquarters in Qoraitem within "a few hours."
According to Lebanese daily As-Safir, Hariri will welcome the Hizbullah delegation, led by head of the Loyalty to the Resistance MP Mohammad Raad, on Wednesday.
The daily noted that the delegation would relay to Hariri an official invitation from Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah for a joint meeting to achieve political reconciliation. It added that Hariri will accept Sayyed Nasrallah's invitation before the Fitr holiday that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Earlier on Monday, Hariri said that reconciliation is mandatory. "I will make it soon," he vowed. He, however, noted that reconciliation would not mean preparing the ground for electoral alliances.
For his part, Future MP Ahmad Fatfat told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Tuesday that things were moving toward a meeting between Hariri and a Hizbullah delegation, but he denied any date has been already set.
