The leadership of Amal and Hizbullah held a meeting in Nabatiah city in south Lebanon in which they discussed the latest Lebanese developments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a joint statement was issued by both leaderships. The statement stressed the need to strengthen all positive climates, to continue dialogue efforts aimed at reconciliation and harmony among the various Lebanese leaders and political forces, away from tense discourse and political and media exchanges.

The statement also emphasized dialogue and concurrence as the fate of the Lebanese, that that alone is the guarantor to bring back the harmony they need for in working on finding solutions to the problems they face.

The meeting commended the establishment of diplomatic ties between Lebanon and Syria, hoping this becomes a foundational step for the restoration of fraternal relations distinguished with the natural normalcy of two brotherly countries and peoples, in order to face the political and security challenges with increased coordination and with a spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility.

Those meeting also called on the Lebanese government to complete compensation payments to the victims of the July aggression, to complete and finalize this file once and for all, without stalling or procrastination.

They addressed the 'Israeli' threats and air, land and sea violations of Lebanese sovereignty, saying such practices fall inline with the Zionist plan, that still places Lebanon within 'Israel's' target circle at all levels, confirming the resistance culture and approach remain a national necessity in the confrontation against such 'Israeli' animosity and its malevolent intentions.

The meeting condemned Arab and international silence over the 'Israeli' brutal practices, which reached the height of racism against the Palestinians of Acre city, clearly indicating the nature of this usurping entity, to reveal its outrageous hegemonic intentions, aimed at Judaizing and obscuring the Arab identity of Palestine, to deny the Palestinians their legitimate right to return to their land and establish their independent state with Noble al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
