Hizbullah: Information on which the President of the Phalange Party based his stands is Incorrect

A media source in Hizbullah issued the following statement:

We draw the attention of the President of the Phalange Party, Amin Gemayel to the necessity to check and ascertain the information on which to build his stands and statements, especially when such information is not true, as was the case today, when in his statement he accused a group of citizens that they were armed, and that the security forces handed them over to Hizbullah.

According to a published statement issued by an official security source, the story referred to by Gemayel is connected to a group of citizens who fell under the suspicion of one of the military agencies several days ago.

After they were detained, they were clearly established to be unarmed and not contravening the law in any way, hence they were subsequently released in a normal manner and not handed over to Hizbullah, as claimed by the former president.
