Hizbullah to Fanatics: Future Not Better than Present!

30-11-2008
One week on the "fiery" speech delivered by the head of the Phalange party former President Amin Gemayel, in which he commemorated his son assassination's anniversary through assailing Resistance and political rivals, and following a series of tensions within universities, Hizbullah broke its silence and responded to the party's claims.
On Sunday, Hizbullah educational office issued a statement in which it criticized the Phalange Party chief and responded to his party's claims concerning the universities' incidents, noting that its response wasn't issued earlier in respect for Pierre Gemayel's martyrdom anniversary.
The statement noted that Hizbullah understands the sensitiveness of the upcoming parliamentary elections and the difficult circumstances the Phalange party was passing through and its serious need for a speech in which it proves its eligibility for his allies before rivals.
However, what's unacceptable, according to Hizbullah statement, was the Phalange party's awakening of civil war rhetoric as well as division vocabulary, rejecting the compatriot partner.
The statement accused the Phalange Party of "fabricating lies" through seeking to beg an electoral vote or to touch some objective people. The statement read in such style a proof of their "deadlock," and therefore, called them to put a limit to their spite and malevolence. "What Hizbullah has built with Lebanon throughout the regions is stronger than all schemes," the statement pointed out.
The statement also accused Gemayel of inciting people and agitating university students to reject the Resistance party in Christian areas of Lebanon. "We returned to the old logic of divisions between Oriental and Occidental Beirut, and also to the policy of exposure to political and religious icons."
"We tell all fanatics: Your future would not be better than you present," the statement concluded.
