"Israeli" breaches Lebanon`s airspace

"Israeli" warplanes have flown at low altitude over southern Lebanon in defiance of a United Nations resolution, reports from Beirut say.
The fighter jets allegedly caused sonic booms as they flew over the cities of Sidon and Tyre, as well as the towns of Bint Jbeil and Marjayoun.
"Israel" has so far made no comment on the Lebanese claims.
"Israeli" warplanes have violated Lebanese airspace on a near-daily basis in the past two weeks, but Tuesday`s intrusions were lower in altitude and caused sonic bangs.
"Israel" has drawn intense international criticism by continuing overflights after the August 14, 2006, cease-fire based on Security Council Resolution 1701 that put an end to the 34-day war.
The United Nations has repeatedly said such overflights undermine the credibility of UN peacekeepers and compromise efforts to stabilize the region. "Israel" insists on its right to carry out the overflights to monitor alleged arms smuggling by Hizbullah.
Meanwhile, security reports said on Tuesday that the "Israeli" Army was conducting "extensive military training in the Zarit outpost, a few kilometers away from the Southern border town of Marwahin."
One security source said the numerous "Israeli" airspace violations over the South and the Bekaa valley "could be a case of `Israel` wanting to distract attention from military activity inside outposts along the border with Lebanon."
Meanwhile, security forces found two mortar shells near the border town of Alma al-Shaab early Tuesday morning. Investigations conducted by army artillery experts indicated that the shells were old, "and are unlikely to be remnants of the summer 2006 war."
Also in the South, the Lebanese Army and the UN Interim Force in Lebanon are expected to resume the restoration of border markings along the Blue Line.
