Russian Defense Ministry Website Comes Under DDoS Attack from Abroad

The site of the Russian Defense Ministry has been targeted by a DDoS attack, the agency said in a statement on Friday. The attack occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Moscow time, causing access to the site to be disrupted for some users.
The source of the cyberattack, established as being located outside of Russia, caused no harm to the IT infrastructure of the site, the ministry added.
According to the agency, IT specialists are trying to neutralize any potential impact the attack could have had.
As of 12:55 p.m. Moscow time, the site was operating normally.
