Hizbullah wishes Christians a merry Christmas: Strong is today΄s need to meet Christ΄s call & stand by Palestini

24/12/2008
On the Christmas occasion a statement was issued today in which Hizbullah congratulated the Christians on Christmas, it said the following:
"It is a blessed day, upon which humanity received Lord Christ (pbuh) promising love and peace, carried by his blessed mother the Virgin Mary (pbuh).
Jesus (pbhu) called for truth, championed the wronged, revolted against oppressive tyrants, and drove out the thieves and extortioners from the temple.
How strong is our need today for such human values, when we are witnessing the Zionist tyrants and killers, spreading tyranny, injustice and rape in the land where Jesus (pbuh) was born, torturing the Palestinian people, Christians and Muslims alike, in mosques or churches, with the worst forms of abuse."
The statement added: "How strong is our need today to meet the call of Christ (pbuh) to stand by the oppressed Palestinian people, to support their legitimate demands, alleviate their suffering and defend the holy sites that are being violated by the Zionists and their international supporters."

"We congratulate all Christians on Christmas, we also congratulate the Muslims, because Jesus (pbuh) and his immaculate mother are two unifying symbols between followers of the two divine faiths, they represent a space for meeting in faith, in goodness and in righteousness.
How good it would if everyone acts on the lessons inspired from this noble event and its blessed effects."
