The Army Intelligence Directorate with the cooperation of Hizbullah arrested a man identified as Marwan F., 40, from Kfartebnit in South Lebanon. He was an owner of a petrol station in Nabatiyeh and was suspected of working with "Israeli" Intelligence.

Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Monday that the suspect was arrested ten days ago, after Intelligence agents had pursued him for several months. It read that he admitted he had been working with the "Israeli" intelligence Services since the 1990's in France, communicating with them through the internet using sophisticated equipment to prevent the Lebanese security services from detecting the calls.

He would go to France claiming he was visiting his brother, and went to "Israel" four times, where he was trained to contact the "Israeli" Intelligence Services.
Al-Akhbar said the investigations did not determine whether Marwan F. was involved in any explosions, but wrote that he was assigned to collect information on the Resistance and the Lebanese army.

A security official told the paper that Marwan F. played a role similar in South Lebanon to spies Ali and Youssef al-Jarrah's role in Bekaa.
