"Israel" resumed Saturday its violation against the Lebanese territories and people firing artillery shells since the early morning.

Al-Manar correspondent in the south of Lebanon said that "Israeli" occupation army shelled southern Lebanon on Saturday. In the village of el-Qlayleh, located about 10 kilometers (six miles) from the border, loud explosions could be heard.

A Lebanese army spokesman said "Israel" had fired at least seven artillery shells after two rockets were fired from the area of Mansouri, south of Tyre, towards the direction of occupied territories.

"One of these rockets landed (within Lebanese territory). The other rocket's location has not been determined," said the source. No one claimed responsibility for the rocket firing.

In a statement, the Lebanese Military Command said that an unknown and suspected source fired two rockets from the south the investigation is ongoing. Troops with the U.N. force in southern Lebanon, UNIFIL, set up checkpoints and were advising people against heading into the area of the clashes. "

Quoting "Israeli" cabinet members, "Israeli" Radio said that the Zionist entity considers the Lebanese government responsible over what goes on its borders with occupied Palestine.

Hizbullah Says Not Behind Rocket Attack

Hizbullah spokesman Ibrahim Moussawi said on Saturday that his party was not behind a rocket attack on northern occupied territories wounding 2 settlers. "Hizbullah has nothing to do with this attack," he told AFP.

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman said that firing the rockets from south Lebanon is challenge against the Lebanese will, adding that "Israel's" response is a violation of UNSCR 1701.

For his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Saniora said that Lebanon was committed to implementing UN Security Council resolution 1701. In a statement issued by his office, Saniora said that the attack threatened the area's stability and condemned "Israel's" artillery fire.

"Prime Minister Saniora (said) the rockets launched from the south threaten security and stability in this region and are a violation of resolution 1701, and these issues are rejected, condemned and denounced... "Israeli" artillery (fire is an) inexcusable violation of Lebanese sovereignty," the statement said.

Fatah Denies Involvement In Firing Rockets

Meanwhile, Fatah secretary general in Lebanon Sultan Abu Ainien said that no Palestinian PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) faction has any connection with the rocket launching fired from Lebanon this morning.

Abu Ainien said, "I don't think that firing rockets from time to time has any moral or political effect, yet it has security goals," adding that "we reject to do any irresponsible actions using the Lebanese territories."
