Commenting on the position reported by a French source at Elisée Palace which stated that France does not side with any Lebanese party, and that it holds up the political dialogue and consensus, Hizbullah's Media Relations Unit issued a press release in which it stated:

"Hizbullah considers the French position a positive indication that should be enhanced in the framework of applying a neutral and effective European role through remaining equidistant from all parties."

"This attitude forms a true and natural entrance for a proper and correct European role in helping Lebanon," the statement concluded.
