Hizbullah Statement on Durban 2: Ahmadinejad, Palestinian cause key supporter & hope for the oppressed

Hizbollah Staff, 22-04-2009
The courageous and responsible position the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed in the speech its President Ahmadinejad gave at the Durban 2 conference, which formed a key supporter for the Palestinian cause, and hope for all the oppressed of world in their ability to face the arrogance of persecution, discrimination and occupation.
While we value Iran's undertaking of the immense central role in facing the occupying Zionist enemy, along with its arrogant supporters, and exposing their policy of double standards in the so-called 'free world', we condemn the stand taken by the West, which not only biases the Zionist enemy, but also covers up its crimes!
Where are 'human rights', where are the West's allegations of protecting human beings and their right to live in freedom, security and peace under the crimes and atrocities committed every day in occupied Palestine?
Indeed, we see the Iranian position as a model emulative to all presidents, governments and peoples. We call upon the peoples of the world to continue activating their roles in confronting assaults and plots, as their contribution in the production of changes that will bring about justice, security and prosperity, thus making a future that promises freedom and independence for all honorable men of the world.
