Iranian Military Chief Warns of ’Crushing’ Response to Threats

Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Major General Ali Abdollahi warned on Friday that any miscalculation or threat by Iran's adversaries would be met with a "crushing, deterrent and devastating" response.

In a message to Acting Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ibn al-Reza on the occasion of Iran's National Defense Industry Day, Abdollahi said the Iranian Armed Forces remain fully prepared to respond to developments across land, sea, air, defense, space, and cyberspace domains.

Abdollahi said the occasion demonstrated Iran's "national and deterrent power" in confronting unjust sanctions and "the child-killing camp of global arrogance."

He emphasized the importance of Iran's defense industry, describing it as an indispensable component of national power and a central pillar in safeguarding the country's security and sovereignty.

Abdollahi said developments in Iran's defense industry in recent years have gone beyond the production of military equipment, describing them as a "deterrent defense industrial revolution" encompassing design, technology management, the defense economy, knowledge-based value chains, and smart production.

He said these capabilities represented a response to the complexities of present and future warfare, attributing Iran's development of self-reliant defense capabilities to the establishment of a doctrine of self-sufficiency and the guidance of the Islamic Republic's leadership.

Abdollahi added that the results of these efforts are now evident both inside and outside the region, referring to Iran's confrontations with the US-"Israeli" imposed war.
