Commenting on the terrorist bombings that targeted one of the mosques in Mosul, and the returning visitors from holy Karbala, leaving hundreds of martyrs and wounded, Hizbullah issued the following statement:

Hizbullah strongly condemns the criminal bombing which targeted innocent Iraqi citizens during the performance of their religious duties, that led to the fall of hundreds of martyrs and injured. Hizbullah sees in the ongoing group massacres and brutality a blind terrorism, with which stands of condemnation and denunciation no longer work.

While Hizbullah condemns these horrific crimes, it places it in the context of seeking to foment sectarian strife in Iraq, to contribute to the objectives of the U.S. occupation.
Hizbullah extends the warmest condolences to the Iraqi people and the families of the martyrs of injustice, and asks Almighty God for His compassion with the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured, and calls on everyone to assume their responsibilities, halt the bloodshed and preserve the integrity and unity of Iraq and its people.
