Loyalty to the Resistance bloc member MP Hussein Hajj Hassan, stressed that "Agreement on the political framework for the formation of government has been accomplished, some discussions about names and portfolios started and later stopped for political reasons. A national unity government is needed for large and important decisions, and since we have agreed on a partnership, then let the government be formed."

Speaking at a ceremony marking Sha'ban 15th, the birth of Imam al-Muntazar (May God Hasten his return) and the third anniversary of the victory of the resistance in the July - August 2006 war in the town of Talia in Bekaa, MP Hajj Hassan said "Communications will intensify after the Prime Minister-designate returns from abroad, when government formation may be accelerated. This is what the Lebanese demand in order for the future government to address the problems that concern all the Lebanese, which includes the Zionist enemy's threats, ambitions and projects that threaten the entire region, in addition to problems related to the services provided, living conditions, unemployment, emigration of youth, power outages and other problems."

In reply to threats made by enemy leaders, MP Hajj Hassan said "No one has or can defeat a people with the will to live with dignity and pride. Threats by leaders defeated in Lebanon, just as their predecessors were more than once, do not scare us and we will remain in a state of readiness."
