Hizbullah statement on Dr. Sayeghs death

With the death of Dr.Anis Sayegh, Hizbullah looses a great Palestinian struggler and thinker, a man who devoted his life for Palestine and Al Quds (Jerusalem). He spent his years as one of the pioneers in the intellectual and political struggle and the confrontation field against the Zionist project and its usurping entity of the land of Palestine. His efforts pushed the Zionist enemy to carry out a flagrant assassination attempt against him; the marks they left on his body accompanied him throughout his life as a medal of sacrifice and selfless giving.

We in Hizbullah extend our condolences to his family, the Palestinian resistance factions and the Palestinian people, for we confidently believe his struggle, ideas and experience will stay in the hearts and minds of the Mujahideen, and form an incentive to continue down the path he took until the liberation of Palestine, the restoration of the rights and the Islamic and Christian sanctities and the eradication of occupation and the germ of corruption and criminality embodied in the usurper Zionist entity.
