Joint statement: Burj Abi Haidar Clashes Were not of Political or Sectarian Nature

Concerning the recent incident in Borj Abi Haidar Leaderships of Hizbullah and the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects published the following statement:

In light of the incident on Tuesday between members of Hizbullah and the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects, both parties' leaderships held an urgent meeting in Beirut, in which it was confirmed that the incident was of personal attempts and not because of any political or sectarian nature.

It has been agreed upon to end clashes immediately and not allow any armament display in order to restore the situation the way it was, solving all repercussions.

Both parties decided to open an investigation held by the Lebanese Army, revealing the identity of each who is trying to sabotage our security and stability, which are priorities for all patriotic parties.
