Hizbullah Media Relations Condemns Attacks on Media, Calls for Pursuing Assailants

Commenting on the attacks targeting Media in Tripoli and the streets of the Lebanese capital as well as other regions in Lebanon, Hizbullah Media Relations issued a statement in which it said "It is painful to see how the streets of the Lebanese cities turned into arenas of attacking and hitting media personals as well as breaking their equipment and burning their vehicles, by all that preventing them from fulfilling their job."
"What we witnessed today of chasing and attacking reporters is a natural outcome of the incitement which pushed some to head to streets. This makes them (inciters) legally responsible for the harm they caused to those reporters," the statement read.
It further continued "Hizbullah Media Relations Unit condemns these attacks and terrorist practices against reporters, and calls on the concerned authorities to pursue the assailants as well as take all measures required protecting media outlets, by that allowing these to fulfill their work. Such a stance (from concerned authorities) also expresses full solidarity with the targeted reporters and institutions."
