Hizbullah in a Statement: We Reject All Sorts of Assault Against Women’s Hijab

Respecting all religious sanctities and leaving them outside the political equation is a must. Commenting on the latest comments and incidents on the Hijab (veil), Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Hizbullah, from its religious and doctrinal position, rejects all sorts of assaults against the Hijab (veil) of Muslim women, whether it was by a rival, like did the March 14 forces in their media campaigns on "Which Lebanon do we want", or by an ally like Former Minister Wiam Wahhab.
We call on everyone, particularly the political leaders and figures to pay much attention to religious sanctities related to all sects and keep it outside the current political conflicts.
We also call on Former Minister Wiam Wahhab -from his national and caring position- to take all necessary steps to correct what he had said concerning a sensitive religious topic that matters to all Muslims without exceptions.
