Consoling the death of Resistance backer Sheikh Nasser Al Kharafi, Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah issued the following statement:
Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allâh we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." Surat Al-Baqarah [verse 156]

We were shocked to the early death of our brother and loyal, supporting, and sincere friend Sheikh Nasser Al Kharafi, May Allah have mercy upon him; who at the same time, we were saddened and greatly pained for his departure.

We are unable to describe the loss of this man, who was a Resistance backer in Lebanon and Palestine. He was a lover and defender of the resistance fighters particularly in the days of hardship, estrangement, and oppression. He was also a strong herald to unity and concurrence, whether between Muslims, Arabs, or Lebanese. He called for unity not sedition; he was a voice of steadfastness and determination rather than a voice of defeat and discouragement. He was a pioneer in construction and reconstruction rather than a pioneer of destruction and sabotage.

I bear witness that all this love and this defense, this faith, this obstinacy was for God the Almighty, and was not for some of the world's wreckage, especially that he already has abundant money and great fame as well as many friends. In fact, he risked all he got because of proclaiming and speaking out loud his beliefs and all that he likes.

I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the respected and cherished family, one by one, particularly to his brother Head of the Kuwaiti National Assembly (Parliament Speaker) Sheikh Jassem Al Kharafi, and his dear son Sheikh Marzouk Al Kharafi.

I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy to the State of Kuwait, its Emir, its Government, its council and its people, who all lost a one of the country's great men.

God bless you, O Abu Marzouk and may God congregate you with the martyrs whom you have loved and backed, and may you rest in peace and reside in heaven, and may God bless all your family and lovers.
