Hizbullah issued the following statement on the passing away of the former Secretary General of the Islamic Jamaa on Monday:

Hizbullah mourns the former Secretary General of the Islamic Jamaa in Lebanon Sheikh Faysal Mawlawi, who has passed away following a long path full of Jihad and giving.

Hizbullah expresses deep pain over the death of such a prominent Islamic figure, who had played a special role in defending Islam and its causes and backed the resistance and Jihad in all possible means. He was one of the Resistance's great leaders in Lebanon, and a supporter (to this Resistance) in all circumstance and stages.

We offer our condolences to the Islamic Jamaa leadership as well as to the Sheikh Mawlawi's family and brothers for this big loss. We assure that we would continue the path we walked down together, that of preserving the Resistance and the Mujahideen in Lebanon and Palestine, as well as consolidating Islamic Unity.
