Commenting on the repressive measures implemented by the Bahraini authorities against citizens, particularly women, Hizbullah issued the following statement:

Escalating repressive measures implemented by the Bahraini authorities against citizens has amounted to arrest dozens of women and the use of coercive methods against them.

The Bahraini authorities have arrested these women, humiliated, handcuffed, pushed them and insulted them by using sectarian language against them in an unprecedented violation of the sanctity of Arab and Muslim women's right.

This new crime is added to the series of crimes committed by the Bahraini authorities, which was most recently represented by reaffirming the provisions of long-term imprisonment up to life imprisonment for the citizens and political leaders.
Their only sin is that they went out there peacefully away from violence to ask for their freedom rights and for better political and social conditions for their own people.

The repressive abusive practices are similar to US terrorist measures adopted in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib which are condemned by all living forces, people of conscience, and freedom in the world.

As Hizbullah reiterates its condemnation to the Bahraini authorities committed crimes, it confirms standing to the side of the Bahraini people and supporting the legitimate demands that sets them in the forefront of the Arab peoples struggling for freedom.
