Commenting on the 17th report of UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on the implementation of resolution 1701, Hizbullah condemned the report in the following statement:
The UN Secretary General reiterates over and over again his total bias towards the Western will which actually brought him to office, rather than show support to the will of enrooting peace and stability at which international organizations aim.
settling worldwide. In his statements, Ban Ki Moon only further tackles the situation in Lebanon, parroting the Western stances and fabrications that stem from enmity towards the resistance and belittling the feelings of the Lebanese people.
The 17th report Ban Ki Moon issued on the implementation of resolution 1701 has lots of fallacies. It reflects the tension and annoyance from Lebanon's adoption of a choice that strengthens it in face of the Zionist occupation and its ongoing aggressions. It is a report that contradicts with the simplest facts on ground about the stability of the situation in South Lebanon.
This, in fact, is a reality that many international officials expressed, on top of which is General Alberto Asarta, Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations in South Lebanon, who reiterated several times "if you want peace, head to the South (of Lebanon) which enjoys peace and stability more than any other region in Lebanon."
Hence, Hizbullah condemns the new stances of the UN Secretary General, and considers that the UN falls under the "dominance" of Western powers, mainly the US. Hizbullah also considers that it constitutes a threat to international peace and security. This also allows hegemonic powers to further violate the rights of peoples and nations, which reject to submit to the Western will, particularly in our region, which has been suffering of these powers' bias towards the Zionist enemy on account of right, justice, sovereignty and independence.
