Hizbullah Denounces Bombings Targeting Ashura Processions in Afghanistan, Iraq
Commenting on the bombings witnessed in some Afghani and Iraqi cities targeting Ashura processions, Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Through commemorating Ashura of this year, the million-man faithful popular crowds in the Arab, Islamic worlds, and around the globe, have represented an amazing, spectacular scene that expresses the greatness of this occasion, and the role it plays in enhancing the culture of rejecting injustice and tyranny, and standing up for the right.
This turnout witnessed by the Arab and Muslim worlds, represents power for Islam, the Muslims, Arabs, and those oppressed from every religion and race, in their confrontation with their enemy. Therefore it is required that this presence it treated with respect, appreciation, and support with what it represents of power for all of us in confronting our enemies. It also stands as power to prevent the groups, conspiring against Islam and Muslims, from triggering inciting rhetoric and practicing killings and criminality as a service to the US and "Israel", in order to weaken the power of Arab and Muslims.
Hizbullah therefore condemns the bombings that targeted the Ashura processions in a number of Afghani and Iraqi cities leading to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of innocent believers. Hizbullah also calls upon all forces, factions, and countries of the Islamic world to convict this criminal behavior and to disown it since it seeks conflict between Muslims as a service for the US scheme.
Moreover, Hizbullah expresses its condolences to the families of the martyrs, hoping that God accepts them with his mercy, and prays God to bless the wounded with hasty recovery.
