The CIA Station at the US Embassy of Awkar: The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) exercises an active intelligence action that is launched from the Embassy of Awkar in Beirut.

This happens through the Agency's station located permanently in one of the embassy's buildings, where the mentioned station holds the management and operation of wide networks of informers deployed on the Lebanese territory in various political, social, health and educational, as well as many security and military sectors.

The current President of the CIA station in Lebanon is the US intelligence officer:

Daniel Patrick Mcfeely

Born on: 29/6/1966

The spoofed post: diplomat in the embassy.

Makvela replaced the former president of the station, (Louis Kahi), who left his work at the beginning of the 2009 and was replaced by Officer Daniel at the head of the station.

The number of officers, that manages the intelligence work in Lebanon reaches ten officers, who are of both sexes, men and women.

These officers are charged with managing and monitoring the security networks related to US intelligence in Lebanon.

Serving as fixed in Beirut's station for three years, all of the officers are working
under the title of diplomats at the US Embassy in Beirut.

Moreover, there are other non fixed intelligence officers at the station who enter Lebanon for short periods (several weeks or several months), and are often charged with specific tasks that once accomplishing them, the officers leave Lebanon.

Among the officers on duty:

- Rosendo Cedano

- Chuck Lisenbee

- Sarah Getter

The intelligence officers also use fake names by which they introduce themselves, some of are: officers Lisa and John.

Depending on the panel of officers operating, the US intelligence station in Lebanon performs recruitment operations affecting different segments of Lebanese society: governmental officials, security agents, military officials, members of the Lebanese parties, Lebanese figures (political, media, religious, social, banking, health, academic, etc. ..).

However, the most prominent activities that the CIA is working on is the recruitment operations that target individuals and people active against the "Israeli" enemy in Lebanon.

After completing the introductions to the recruitment of any agent, he is to be received within the embassy where he provides full information and a detailed profiled is accomplished.

In addition, they study his potentials and information capabilities based on the network of his relations and acquaintances, as well as the extent of his knowledge of his house and working surroundings.

After this stage, the agent's management move to outside the embassy where a program of communication is set between the agent and one of the intelligence station's officers with an average of a meeting every two weeks or every month depending on the importance of the agent and his productivity.

The meetings between the agent and the American officer are held in public places such as restaurants and cafes (Starbucks, Mc Donnalds and Pizza Hut restaurants ..)..

Some of these meetings are conducted in the officer's car carrying a diplomatic plate belonging to the American Embassy. The car tours the streets until the end of the meeting.

The agent receives his money from the officer responsible for him.

The officer orders the agent to sign a receipt confirming receiving a sum of money, but what the agent receives is less than the number recorded in the receipt.

Sometimes the agent is asked to sign empty financial receipts that the officer fills with the numbers he wants.

Moving in a twin agreement between its security program and that of "Israel" to target the resistance and its activities as well as some Lebanese figures, the CIA orders its agents to seek complete information that integrate with the detailed information that "Israeli" intelligence requires from its agents.

Among the titles the CIA requested from its agents are information including:

All what is related to Hizbullah members as well as the resistance's elements and officials: their phone numbers, addresses of residence places, addresses of their children's schools, their financial problems, the names of Hizbullah officials in villages, weapons in their possession, missiles' stores, logistic structures of resistance, and staff known to be chased by the "Israeli" enemy in order to assassinate them.

During July 2006 war, the US moved its intelligence agents to track and monitor all matters relating to resistance's activity , where the US intelligence provided the "Israelis" with all field information that they received, and some of which led to targeting many civilian buildings and places by "Israeli" warplanes.

The CIA station also requested information on health, social, financial institutions of Hizbullah deployed in Lebanon.
