Commenting on the terrorist bombing that targeted al-Maidan neighborhood in the center of the Syrian capital -Damascus -this morning (Friday) and led to the fall of a large number of victims, Hizbullah issued the following statement:

The new terrorist crime that targeted the heart of the Syrian capital, Damascus, Friday morning forms a second phase of the US evil forces' plan as well as the regional sides under its control.

The crime aims at punishing Syria for its stance of steadfastness and resistance against the Zionist enemy and its supporters in the West.

Moreover, the blast is new evidence on the size of the fierce attack that Syria is facing and that is targeting the country's security, stability, location and role.

The bombing, which targeted innocent people in a holy day is an expression of annoy from powers seeking to internationalize the situation in Syria.

Considering that such wrath resulted from current efforts attempting to solve the problems of the country, Hizbullah views that the crime reflects an evidence of these forces rejection for any remedial action that could save the Syrian people from being dragged into bloodbath.

As Hizbullah denounces this new terrorist crime and the new, it focuses again on US fingers extending to the heart of our Arab region, in order to detonate and stir it.

US is trying to blind the fact of its defeat manifested by the humiliated withdrawal from Iraq a few days ago, a try to compensate for the strategic loss strategy that Washington is suffering , and to prevent the people of our region to manage their own affairs in independence from the American project in the region.

Hizbullah expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of martyrs, and pray to God to bless the wounded with a speedy recovery.
