Hizbullah: Media Short on Uncovering Oppression Imposed on Bahraini People

Local Editor
Hizbullah disavowed the claims circulating throughout media outlets, alleging that the Hizbullah TV al-Manar had apologized to the Bahraini regime during the meetings of the Arab League-affiliated Arab States Broadcasting Union.
Rejecting the claims, Hizbullah issued the following statement:
First: The stance expressed by the delegation representing the Lebanese Communication Group had expressed their stance without referring to the Hizbullah leadership, but rather took the initiative and acted upon personal evaluation.
Second: Our stance, which has always supported the Bahraini people has not changed at all. We consider the injustice practiced by the Bahraini regime against its people as major; in fact this injustice is still being practiced as the Bahraini people are deprived from their simplest right of political participation in the country.
Third: The Bahraini regime itself should actually apologize to the Bahraini people, who have been enduring and tolerating harsh oppression and tyranny practiced by the Bahraini regime for more than two and a half years so far. Yet, [the harsh practices of the regime] will not silence the voice of right and justice; indeed we believe that media outlets remain short on revealing the regime's injustice towards the honorable Bahraini people.
Fourth: The threats, intimidations and unjust accusations launched by the Bahraini authorities against all supporters of the Bahraini people and its just cause is only more evidence to the powerlessness of the Bahraini ruling authorities and its inability to dialogue with its people.
