Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Otari reiterated Syrian support for the Lebanese resistance's fight against "Israeli" aggressions at a meeting of the Syrian-Iranian Higher Committee.
Iranian Vice President Pervez Dawoudi, who headed his country's delegation to the meeting, said that the solution to the Lebanese crisis must come from an inter-Lebanese agreement.
"Iran strongly rejects foreign interference in Lebanon's domestic affairs," Dawoudi said.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Dawoudi as saying before leaving Teheran that he will meet with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Syrian Vice-President Farouk Al-Sharaa to discuss regional matters, including the problems in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, and Syrian-Iranian relations.
