The Jewish American "Anti-Libel association" said that an internet services company in Las Vegas would face investigation and accusations for aiding "terrorism" by hosting Al-Manar electronic website. In a statement issued last Friday, the New York based association said that it had discovered, through its "anti-terrorism efforts", a website named "Wa'ad" hosted by a Las Vegas company and this site is under Hizbullah's control.
"Wa'ad website alleges it aids the resistance movement having an electronic page concerned with Zionist issues, another for backing the resistance and one for the Divine Victory", the statement said. The association prompted the US authorities to check whether this internet services company breached the American law through offering services to Al-Manar channel.
In an unprecedented move against a media outlet, the US Treasury Department in 2006 listed Al-Manar TV along with Al-Noor radio as "terrorist networks".
