Senior Shiite cleric Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah took issue Tuesday with "what is said about the presence of two armies in Lebanon." In a television interview, Fadlallah argued that "the issue is that "Israel" cannot bear the presence of a strong resistance which succeeded in defeating it. He added that Hizbullah`s arms were "weapons of resistance that can liberate the country and protect it against any "Israeli" attack." The cleric also denied the likelihood of a clash between Christians and Muslims and called for more dialogue between the two sects. Separately, Fadlallah discussed recent developments with MP Ali Hussein Khalil, representing Speaker Nabih Berri.
