Lebanese President Emile Lahoud criticized a recent statement by US Ambassador to Lebanon Jeffrey Feltman, saying the White House will receive the new Lebanese President and not the current one. Lahoud added that major countries with "Israel" behind them, are seeking to exploit the blood of former Prime Minister martyr Rafik Hariri, to realize what they failed to accomplish in Lebanon by force.
"We have reached a time, when the US Ambassador visits Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Butros Sfeir to say that the White House will receive the new Lebanese President, as this current president is from the past. I tell you that they want to receive a president from the past like the one who handed Lebanon to the "Israelis" in 1982. As for the future president who will come after this mandate ends, he has to continue in the same line, or else Lebanon would pay a heavy price, because our strength lies in our national army and the existence of the resistance, on top of which is Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
I dare them to make polls, to see what the Lebanese people really want, and we`ll talk afterwards. But when they are afraid of issuing a new and right electoral law, and then make elections, then I can only but call this majority as a delusive majority which is only good with words and insults."
