"Israeli" War Minister Amir Peretz revealed his annoyance in the Knesset`s war and foreign affairs committee and he slammed the comments that targeted him by a senior military intelligence officer, General Yossi Beidatz, who said that Hezbollah has rehabilitated its forces and is stronger today than it was before the last summer`s war. Peretz`s reaction was not but a sign to the state of anxiety that he and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are passing through, especially with the closeness of issuing the initial report of Winograd Commission probing failures of the Lebanon war under what both leaders circulated the war`s illusionary achievements for the past six months.
"Israeli" politicians and analysts considered the regaining of Hezbollah`s high capabilities a clear proof for the deep failure of this war and a proof for the falseness of the "Israeli" official allegations concerning its achievements even those limited.
Silvan Shalom, a Knesset`s member, said, "Resolution 1701 was a great trick. It did not `free` the two captured soldiers nor did it disarm Hezbollah, thus Winograd Commission must take into consideration what the head of the researches department said."
