Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi is scheduled to travel to Tehran on Tuesday for talks with Iranian officials, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said, according to the IRNA news agency.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Albusaidi will meet with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The visit comes as part of continued political consultations between Oman and Iran, which are both located along the Strait of Hormuz.

Baghaei said the trip is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining regular political dialogue between the two countries. He added that the consultations are intended to contribute to peace and stability in the region.
