Yemen Targets Saudi Oil Tanker and Military Positions

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced operations targeting a Saudi oil tanker off Yanbu and Saudi military positions in several areas, as part of Sanaa's military response to Saudi aggression.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Yahya Saree said the Saudi oil tanker Amzan was struck with a ballistic missile in the northern Red Sea off Yanbu.

He said the strike directly hit the vessel, causing a fire and prompting several other ships in the area to flee.

Saree said the operation was part of Yemen's decision to ban maritime traffic linked to Saudi Arabia and enforce the "blockade for blockade" equation.

He also announced two operations against Saudi forces. The first targeted a large military convoy carrying weapons and equipment in the Al-Ubra and Al-Wadi'a areas with ballistic missiles and drones, destroying more than 10 trucks, according to Saree.

The second targeted Saudi forces in the Al-Kanais area, also using ballistic missiles and drones.

Saree stated the operation killed and wounded dozens, including officers and commanders, and destroyed several weapons depots.

He said Yemen would continue enforcing the maritime ban on Saudi shipping within its declared area of operations and would respond to any further escalation with broader and more severe military operations.
