MP Hachem: US is Trying to Control the Resistance through STL

Liberation and Development Parliamentary Bloc MP Kassem Hachem said that if the false witnesses issue depends on the judiciary, it wouldn't have been presented and discussed in the Ministerial Council.

In this context, MP Hachem referred that the opposition will be voting for transferring the false witnesses issue to the Justice Council instead of the judiciary, stressing that this issue must be solved.

In a press interview, MP Kassem Hachem expressed that the US administration does not seek revealing the truth through supporting the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), but it aims at controlling the forces of resistance.

Liberation and Development Bloc MP also added that the opposition stresses on the importance of revealing the truth away from politicization.

On another level, MP Kassem Hachem affirmed that a meeting between PM Saad Hariri and Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah would mean that Lebanon is close to solving this crisis.
