Berri: False Witnesses’ Issue Should Be Resolved

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that the false witnesses' issue should be resolved in Cabinet's next meeting and as soon as possible, adding "We said earlier it is very important to put an end to procrastination and delay, and that this file should be resolved in the coming ministerial session to convene even if ministers are required to vote."

In remarks published by the daily Al Liwaa on Tuesday, Berri said "It is not acceptable that this file remains unresolved, even if we lose and they win. The Lebanese want the complete truth and until this moment, the other team has been putting barriers to reaching that truth." 

He further added that the Lebanese should not fear Wednesday's ministerial session, as the aim is to take this file to the judicial council or judiciary and at that time, each side should bear responsibility of its choices."
