Head of the Democratic Party MP Walid Jumblatt praised the speech of Hibullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his stressing on the importance of the Saudi-Syrian role to eliminate the negative effect of the STL.

Jumblatt noted that "The strategic Syrian-Saudi communication comes in context of rejecting the influence of the indictment," emphasizing that Sayyed Nasrallah did the right thing when assured the importance of these efforts.

Jumblatt, in an interview on Al Manar TV, said that "Since the Syrian-Saudi summit was convened; there is a group in Lebanon supporting the foreign messengers who aim at disconnecting the Syrian-Saudi communication. He stressed "We have to be patient and continue this communication as through it, we can reject the outcome of the indictment."

Jumblatt revealed that he had told US Assistant Secretary of State of Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman during their last meeting that "Security comes first, then justice, because the latter means nothing in absence of stability."

In response to a question on what might happen if the indictment is issued suddenly, Jumblatt declared "In this case, it is required that all Lebanese unite together because the tribunal has become politicized and is a tool used to implement UN Resolution 1559, and so we must stand together in confronting the indictment to be issued by the STL."

Head of the "Democratic Gathering" also said that there are some in the March 14 who have not learned from the past, and think they can realize their goals with American and "Israeli" support.
Jumblatt further noted "If we fail to deter the negative effect of the indictment through Syrian-Saudi efforts, then the West will again use "Israel" to target the resistance, and this is what many in Lebanon as well as the Arab world bargain on."
