Opposition Source to As-Safir: STL Amendments, Preparations for Indictment Issuance

A high ranked opposition leader considered that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's initiative to change its rules of procedures and evidence is not separate from an attempt to prepare the suitable atmosphere for the indictment's issuance.

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper, the leader confirmed that the aim of the timing of this change is to pressure the Lebanese government not to respond to any Arab or International initiatives to decrease the repercussions of the indictment.

In this context, the source further assured that the indictment issuance will not be postponed until next March, yet most probably it will be issued before the 10th of upcoming December.
